The constraints of the Israeli restrictions on occupied Palestinian land have created a climate of masterplanning which aims to create physical from virtual. Companies which operate in Rawabi city, from construction to IT have a dual purpose of educating local students within Rawabi’s education fascilities in the hope that these skills will intern create other new developments in Palestine. The dual benefit of education is the reducation in the carbon footprint as the abilit to manufacture on site reduces the carbon footprint and a highly skilled workforce reduces embodied energy by cutting down on wasted materials in construction.
