I am most grateful to some of the feedback and consulting I’ve been able to receive. If the generosity of Haitian’s who are cold emailed and  take the time to read a brief from a student who has never visited the country are anything to go by, it has made me look forward to visiting the country more than ever.

From all the feedback however there is one suggestion. From politicians, to those whom have been working there and have experience of construction and ecological programs there is one overriding suggestion. Bamboo. A material which is easy to cut, fast to grow, uses little water and  is flexible yet strong. It seems this can be a saving grace to a construction sector building heavy structures and a harsh terrain to grow on.
